Summer Multi Sports

‘Lets Play’ Event

‘Let’s Play’ is an exciting new inclusive sport programme that has been set up aWorcester3s a 12 month pilot project by 6 NGBs, headed up by Wheelchair Basketball. It includes 12 multi-sport events that take place across England between April and July this year and we are lucky enoug h to have one coming to the University of Worcester Arena on Thursday 18th June.

The aim is to provide an opportunity to engage people with a sensory or physical impairment to come and have a go at the 6 different sports, and to find out about available exit routes where they can continue taking part. Individuals who attend will also have the chance to talk and gain advice from various organisations, both sporting and non-sporting, regarding the activities and support they have to offer.

Following the engagement days the participants will be directed to sports appropriate to their impairment and ability within the local area, with participation in more than one sport being encouraged.

We’d like your support to engage groups of participants to attend the day, whether they are service users, children from special schools/SEN units, members of disability charities/organisations, or individuals you know through other connections, anyone is welcome!! I would be very grateful if you could disseminate this information, along with the poster and programme attached, amongst your networks and contacts.Worcester Schedule

Any questions about the event please do not hesitate to get in touch with either myself or Maria Goodwin, the programme coordinator – m.goodwin@britishwheelchairbasketball.co.uk
